Welcome to DK Ludo (Package Name: com.dknova.dkludo), a mobile board game developed and published by DK Nova ("we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy explains how DK Nova collects, handles, stores, and protects information when you install, access, or play DK Ludo ("the Game") on Android devices via the Google Play Store. We are committed to transparency and adherence to the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, Google Play User Data Policy, and international data protection standards (including GDPR and CCPA).

By using DK Ludo, you acknowledge the data handling practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any practice described herein, please refrain from installing or playing the Game.

2. Information We Process and Collect

DK Ludo collects and processes only the data strictly necessary for game progression, authentication, cloud backup, online multiplayer connectivity, push notifications, and advertising.

2.1 Account and Profile Data

  • Google Sign-In Account: When you connect your Google Account, Firebase Authentication processes your Google Account ID (UID), public display name, email address, and profile photo URL to verify your identity and link your account across sessions.
  • Guest Identity: If you choose not to connect a Google Account, the Game generates an anonymous Firebase Authentication session and a randomized local Player ID (e.g. DK-XXXXXX) to save your gameplay progress locally.
  • Player Profile Customization: In-game player nickname (callsign), selected avatar index, and custom status message configured inside the Game.

2.2 Gameplay, Progression & Economy Data

  • Game Statistics & Match Records: Wins, losses, win streak, tokens captured/killed, total matches played, ELO rating, level progression, XP, achievements, and leaderboard rankings stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Realtime Database).
  • Virtual Economy & Inventory: Virtual coin balance, diamond balance, unlocked themes, unlocked dice skins, unlocked token skins, transaction history timestamps, and daily login reward streak.
  • Multiplayer Session Data: Ephemeral match state, private room codes, player ready status, synchronized dice roll values, and board positions transmitted in real-time between match participants.

2.3 Device, Network & Technical Identifiers

  • Device & OS Information: Android OS version, device model, screen resolution, and system language settings used for layout rendering and compatibility.
  • Network Connection: Network connectivity state (Wi-Fi or cellular) to verify internet readiness before connecting to multiplayer lobbies.
  • Internet Protocol (IP) Address: Transmitted automatically as part of standard internet communication protocol when connecting to Google Firebase and Google Mobile Ads backend services. DK Nova does not use your IP address to track your precise physical location.
  • Advertising ID: On Android devices, the Google Advertising ID (AD_ID) is processed by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for frequency capping, ad fraud prevention, and (with user consent) personalized advertising.

2.4 Push Notifications & FCM Device Tokens

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token: When notifications are enabled (via the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission on Android 13+), a device push token is generated and associated with your user record in Firebase Realtime Database to deliver challenge invites and reward alerts. Notifications can be disabled at any time in device settings.

2.5 Diagnostics & Anonymous Analytics

  • Firebase Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous app engagement metrics (such as screen views and game session duration) to help us identify stability issues and optimize gameplay.

3. Android Permissions Declared

DK Ludo requests and uses only the following Android permissions:

  • android.permission.INTERNET: Required for online matchmaking, Firebase database sync, push notifications, and loading ads.
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to verify active internet connectivity before starting network operations.
  • android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13 (API level 33) and higher to deliver in-game notifications (optional; managed by user).
  • android.permission.VIBRATE: Used to provide tactile haptic feedback during dice rolls and button presses (can be disabled in Settings).
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Declared via Google Mobile Ads SDK for ad serving and fraud mitigation.

DK Ludo never requests sensitive permissions such as GPS Precise Location, Camera, Audio Recording/Microphone, Contacts, or Device Storage.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process collected information solely for the following legitimate purposes:

  • Delivering Core Gameplay: Managing game rooms, synchronizing turns, and running local/online Ludo matches.
  • Cloud Backup & Synchronization: Saving your wallet balance, inventory items, achievements, and statistics to Google Firebase Firestore so your progress is preserved when logging in with Google.
  • Leaderboard & Fair Play: Displaying your nickname, wins, and rank on the global leaderboard and preventing gameplay manipulation.
  • Push Notifications: Delivering battle invites and daily reward reminders if notification permission is granted.
  • Monetization & Advertising: Serving banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads via Google AdMob.
  • Support & Account Servicing: Responding to player inquiries and fulfilling user data deletion requests.

5. Third-Party SDK Integrations

DK Ludo utilizes trusted third-party developer SDKs provided by Google LLC. Each third-party service handles data under its respective privacy policies:

For players located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, DK Ludo integrates the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. Upon first launch, players are presented with a consent dialogue to choose between personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or to manage individual vendor consents. You can review or change your privacy choices at any time from the in-game Settings menu.

6.2 Managing Advertising ID on Android

You can manage or reset your Android Advertising ID at any time in your device settings under:
Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID (or Delete advertising ID).

7. Virtual Economy & "No Real-Money Gambling" Disclaimer

Strictly for Entertainment: DK Ludo is a free-to-play social board game.

  • All virtual coins, gems, and rewards earned or displayed within the Game are purely virtual in-game items with no real-world monetary value.
  • Virtual currency cannot be redeemed, traded, transferred, or exchanged for real money, goods, or services under any circumstance.
  • DK Ludo does not provide, promote, or support real-money gambling, cash betting, or financial payouts.

8. Account and Data Deletion Policy

In compliance with Google Play's User Data and Account Deletion policies, you have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud-stored data.

Deletion Scope and Timeframe:

  • Upon verification, your profile record, Google UID reference, stats, and coin balances will be permanently removed from our Firebase Authentication and Database stores within 30 days.
  • Once deleted, virtual items and leaderboard scores cannot be restored.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

DK Ludo is designed for a general audience (all age groups). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable legal age in your jurisdiction).

10. Data Security & Retention

We implement appropriate technical measures to safeguard your information:

  • All network communications between the Game and Google Firebase backend servers are encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
  • Cloud database records are protected by Firebase Security Rules ensuring authenticated access to user documents.
  • Data is retained as long as your account remains active in Firebase or until a deletion request is fulfilled.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (such as under GDPR, CCPA, or applicable Indian IT/Data Protection laws), you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data stored with us.
  • Update your in-game nickname and avatar via the Edit Profile screen.
  • Disconnect your Google Account via the Profile screen logout option.
